My opinion is just that I love Donovan and Laura Nyro (and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a bit ridiculous, but I always pay attention and I've visited the place more than once).

"I will buy a pink Segway before I spend a nickle on any goddamn government car.."

"... Including a ZR-1. U.S. OUT OF DETROIT."

I had to Google ZR-1. Then, I screamed.

But I've got to say: If the Segway hadn't already been made, the Obama administration would have funneled hundreds of millions of public money into developing it. And it would still only be ridden by that one guy, and as he scoots by, everybody who sees him thinks: No way!

Roma have confirmed the appointment of Thomas DiBenedetto as the club's new president.

The 62-year-old American becomes the first foreign president in Roma's history and takes over from Giorgio Cappelli, who was named as caretaker president in July after the end of the Sensi family's 18-year association with the club.

DiBenedetto headed up a four-man consortium that agreed a takeover of the club earlier this year, and his formal unveiling as president was made at a club board meeting on Tuesday.

"It is truly an honour for me to be formally appointed president and chairman of AS Roma, a team with such a long and glorious history," DiBenedetto said in a statement.

Stevens relishing Schalke challenge

Huub Stevens has targeted a return to his former glories with Schalke after returning to the club for a second spell.

Stevens on Tuesday penned a deal until summer 2013 to succeed Ralf Rangnick, who resigned due to health reasons last Thursday.

The 57-year-old previously coached the club between 1996 and 2002, leading them to the 1997 UEFA Cup and DFB-Pokal wins in 2001 and 2002.

Last May's cup triumph was the Royal Blues' one and only piece of silverware gained in the nine years since Stevens left the club, and he now hopes to take them back to the good times.

"I hope that I can bring success with me," he was quoted as saying at a press conference. "I am d [...]
